NTDS Type E Serial Matrix Switch Expansion Card

The MPS Expansion Kit creates an integrated fully non-blocking 64-, 96-, or 128-channel Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS) matrix switching network by connecting two, three, or four MPS-32 NTDS Type E Low Level Serial (LLS) switches located in close proximity or up to 14 km apart. Each MPS-32 unit provides low-latency as well as a transparent, onblocking interconnection between any pair of devices. It regenerates 100% of the incoming signal ensuring maximum data integrity.

As part of X-COM’s line of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) NTDS solutions, the rackmountable MPS Expansion Kit offer the highest number of channels in the smallest form factor available. The MPS Expansion Kit allows NTDS networks to be rapidly reconfigured using a PC or Master Switch Controller. It is designed to cost-effectively meet the unique needs of today’s NTDS development, evaluation, and training environments.
